The responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  • Achieve daily, weekly and monthly acquisition and retention goals through persistent and enthusiastic outreach.

  • Call prospective clients to set appts.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including the daily schedule as assigned.

  • Effectively communicate with customers and other internal departments.

  • Must have the discipline to adhere to processes and workflows and implement new ones at a moment’s notice.

  • Be measured on several areas including, but not limited to: schedule adherence, contact quality, efficiency, and process compliance.

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management (internally and externally).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes

  • Ability to be comfortable on camera. We selfie video leads in our communication. (This is also an application requirement. See "To Apply" instructions below)

Required Skills

  • Professional appearance, professionalism, and attitude.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with prospects.

  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills to generate interest and schedule appointments.

  • Passion for dogs but knowledge of dog training concepts not required.

  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.

  • Resilience and persistence in the face of rejection or challenges.

  • Availability to work flexible hours as required.

  • Desire to learn new systems and processes.

  • Desire to help our customers get better results from their dog's behavior challenges!

  • Comfortable on camera. We regularly send selfie videos to our leads in our communication.

Job Summary

As the Appointment Setter, you will be responsible for setting appointments for Intelligent K9. This includes setting up appointments, qualifying candidates, and making outbound calls to prospective clients. You will be expected to provide prompt and courteous service to our customers by getting them help with their dog's behavior challenges.

Intelligent K9 Training is a thriving dog training business based in Richmond, VA. As the owner, I have built a solid reputation for delivering exceptional training services to pet owners. Now, I am looking to take the next step and expand into a commercial facility to accommodate more clients and offer additional services. To achieve this goal, I need your assistance as an Appointment Setter to help book prospective leads into an in-person training consultation with our trainer.

How Was Intelligent K9 Created?

Subsequent to his time as an aerial navigator in the US Marines, CJ spent many years working as a professional skydiver, teaching skydiving students following their passion in the air.

From those who trusted him with their life and the lives of their loved ones, to those who now trust him with their dog's training and care, CJ now dedicates his time to helping dogs and their owners.

Following his interest in how to teach dogs to listen to us even around life's daily or toughest distractions, CJ now dedicates his time to working as a professional Richmond, VA dog trainer.

CJ is passionate about helping others improve their life with their dog(s) so that they can reap the many rewards and benefits that come from a great relationship with man's best friend!
